By Magda Muchlinski, GK-12 Fellowship.

Abstract:
As a GK-12 fellow I have had several experiences that allow me to reinterpret my understanding of science education. While sharing my academic interests with Austin based educators, I have research the several ways by which to instill and inspire inquire based thinking in primary school children. Result from my investigation stress the importance of integration and submersion.

My fellowship talk will review the basic philosophy of the adopt-a-school program and the results of my work. I will address some key issues that I have identified with my current module and outline the methods by which I hope to modify my work in the Summer of 2003.

In summarizing my work I hope to suggest future direction for this program to security its success and acceptance.
