• The Unified Geodynamics Earth Science Computing Environment (UGESCE) includes a recent version of iGMT, GMT, as well as other scientific software and data preinstalled.
• iGMT version 1.2 (as of 20140907)
  
  The last and final release of iGMT is version 1.2, which has a lot of new features (see, e.g., a poster on stress data plotting) compared to older vesions; iGMT 1.2 supports GMT version 3.4.5 and 4.x.x. The software is stable and no known bugs exist. You can download
  • igmt_v1.2-20140907.tgz (full distribution with data, 1.8MB gzip version),
  The datestamp behind the name prefix indicates the last modification date, e.g. "-20001027" means October 27, 2000. Last changes were made on 06/12/20.

• iGMT version 1.1 (old release)
  We recommend using the new version (1.2) at this point. iGMT 1.1 was released as an update to iGMT1.0 in April 1999 (see the version history page for a list of changes). (All iGMT with versions larger or equal 1.1 are compatible with GMT versions 3.0 through 3.3, iGMT pre 1.2 starting from the Dec 2005 releases can deal with GMT 3.4.5 and 4.0). iGMT 1.1 has enhanced data handling routines, and writes much nicer script files than version 1.0. You can download the following packages:
  • igmt_v1.1.tar.gz: Approx 2.2MB big gnu-zipped tar file. Contains the Tcl/Tk source code, example input files, example plots, the documentation as a postscript file, and smaller datasets.
  • iGMT 1.1 no frills: Approx. 200kB big plain tar file. Contains all the sources but does not come with documentation and data sets.
• The Known problems page has been set up for possible incompatibilities, problems, and bugs in iGMT version 1.1.
  
• iGMT version 1.0 (old release)
