Somali Basin

This cruise utilized the Lamont-Doherty 12-channel reflection system (mcs) and sonobuoy reflection/refraction system to examine the evolution of both the sheared and rifted margins bordering Eastern Africa in the northwest Somali Basin. The field work had two major objectives: 1) to determine the plate kinematic history of the Africa-Madagascar separation; 2) to reveal the structure and stratigraphy of the conjugate East African and Madagascan continental margins.

This data set has a deep water delay set in the trace header bytes 181-184, in milliseconds.
