The Meeting of Young Researchers in the Earth Sciences
(MYRES) was an inter-disciplinary conference series and
international community building effort that ran from 2003-2010.
The kick-off meeting, MYRES-I on Heat,
Helium, Hotspots, and Whole Mantle Convection was held in San
Diego in 2004. From there, topics wandered organically via faults and
earthquakes, and surface processes, to connections between the solid
Earth and the biosphere. You can read more information on the
historical web pages for MYRES I-V.
