Participants in this workshop must hold a teaching position at a 2- or 4- 
year college or university for the following academic year and must be in 
their first four years of full-time teaching at the time of application (or 
be starting their first year of full-time teaching in the fall).

We announce a summer workshop for faculty on designing effective and 
innovative courses. This year, we are offering both a face-to-face (campus)

Designing Effective and Innovative Courses in the Geosciences
Finding the time, energy, and inspiration to develop a new course or to 
re-design an existing course is a challenge for faculty. On the Cutting 
Edge will be offering two course design experiences this summer. We will 
offer our usual four-day face-to-face workshop, and we will, for the first 
time, offer an on-line version of the workshop. You can find details on

On-site workshop expenses are covered through a CCLI National Dissemination 
grant from the Division of Undergraduate Education of the National Science 
Foundation. (DUE-0127310). The grant covers the operational costs of the 
workshop plus room, board, and workshop materials for the 
participants.  Participants or their home institutions must provide 
transportation to and from the workshop.
